You don’t have to be an AC/DC fan to enjoy the latest rock book called ‘Bon: The Last Highway – The Untold Story of Bon Scott and AC/DC’s Back in Black’ will be released this week. The book deals directly with the life, time, and eventual path of destruction AC/DC’s lead singer Bon Scott was on.

Bon Scott was the lead singer of the raucous AC/DC from 1974 to 1980, belting out the leads on all the hits, “Highway to Hell,” “TNT,” “It’s a Long Way to the Top,” and “Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap,” are just a sampling of the songs made famous by Bon. Sadly, Bon battled addiction his whole life, eventually dying on February 19th, 1980 at the age of 33, due to ‘acute alcohol poisoning’ after a night of heavy drinking.

Written and researched by Jesse Fink, a writer that became friends with Bon, meeting in Texas on the bands first American tour. The irony of the book called Bon: The Last Highway – The Untold Story of Bon Scott and AC/DC’s Back in Black is that Jesse spoke to Bon a few days before his death in a hurried phone call, Bon telling Jesse that he wanted out, deciding to leave the band. The two never spoke again.
