Forbes recently put out their list of highest paid artists in music and the list is quite impressive. The names won’t necessarily surprise you, but the numbers will! Any guesses as to who takes the cake for most money made this past year?
Taylor Swift comes in at number one with $170 million and she can thank her fans who hit the road for that total. The majority of her money made was from her 1989 tour, which was the hottest ticket for quite some time. Coming in second was One Direction. The band that is now on hiatus put up an impressive number even though they have been on hiatus since earlier this year. They generated about $110 million. Adele’s $80 million ranks her third.
Forbes took a look at how much money artists made from June 1, 2015 to June 1, 2016 to determine these figures.
