The 32nd Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn last week, and it was a real celebration of those that were eligible their very first year, and those that have waited forever to be asked.

The 2017 inductees were Yes, Joan Baez, Electric Light Orchestra, Journey (finally) Pearl Jam, and Tupac Shakur. What a class it was! Who was a part of the first class in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? We thought you would never ask…

The Hall of Fame’s first ceremony was held back in 1986. The artists allowed in the 1st class were Buddy Holly, Robert Johnson, Chuck Berry, Elvis, the Everly Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, James Brown, Little Richard, Ray Charles, Jimmy Yancey, Sam Cooke and Jimmy Rogers.

Non-artists or executives in that first class were Alan Freed, Sam Phillips, and John Hammond.
