The Delayed 2022 MLB Season Finally Kicks Off

Major League Baseball is officially back! After a delayed start, the MLB’s 162-game 2022 regular season kicked off yesterday with a seven-game slate.

The Chicago Cubs had one of the exciting first wins of the season against the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-4.

The Kansas City Royals had a clean defeat over the Cleveland Guardians, 3-1.

The St. Louis Cardinals smoked the Pittsburgh Pirates, 9-0.

The New York Mets beat the Washington Nationals, 5-1, while the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Atlanta Braves.

The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Diego Padres, 4-2.

The Houston Astros finished off the night with a 3-1 defeat over the Los Angeles Angels.

Two games were postponed, including the Boston Red Sox taking on the New York Yankees and the Seattle Mariners against the Minnesota Twins, both on April 8.
