On Monday night, the CMA Country Christmas arrived in full swing to kick off the holiday season with December 1st just right around the corner.

The evening, hosted by Carly Pearce and Gabby Barrett, featured performances by a number of country favorites, old and new.

The Pistol Annies, which consists of Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley, started off the hour-long event with “Snow Globe,” a track from their new seasonal album Hell of a Holiday.

Jimmie Allen, Louis York, and the Shindellas performed a Motown-inspired “What Does Christmas Mean,” a song Allen and York wrote and released back in 2020.

Hosts Pearce and Barrett then followed with a “Sleigh Ride” duet, and then individual performances of classic Christmas hymns, with Pearce singing “O Holy Night” and Barrett accompanied by her husband Cade Foehner on guitar, singing “Silent Night.”

Carrie Underwood took the stage with “Mary Did You Know” from her My Gift holiday album, while Lady A and Brett Eldredge followed with “Christmas Through Your Eyes” and “Merry Christmas, Baby,” respectively.

BRELAND switched things up with an R&B version of “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire),” and Lainey Wilson was joined by Jenee Fleenor to close out the night with “Christmas Cookies.”
