Christmas Carols were first heard abroad thousands of years before we sang them, and the word Carol actually means praise. As we go about our daily lives, our modern day Carol is our favorite Christmas song we hear on our favorite local radio station. What are considered the most popular Christmas albums?

‘A Pentatonix Christmas’ is the fourth studio LP from this outrageous A Capella group and will be around for years to come.

John Denver’s ‘A Rocky Mountain Christmas’ from 1975 is considered a classic album, while traditionalists prefer the sound of the Carpenters and their ‘Christmas Portrait’ released in 1978. The Beach Boys hit it big in 1964 with ‘The Beach Boys Christmas Album,’ and there’s always room for the Mannheim Steamroller, ‘Mannheim Steamroller Christmas’ album.

Lindsey Stirling, the rising violinist and singing sensation, released her holiday LP called ‘Warmer in the Winter,’ that the whole family will love.

Michael Buble created an instant classic with his ‘Christmas,’ and the Phil Spector’s ‘A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector’ from 1963 contains the Christmas tunes you grew up with. ‘Noel’ from Josh Groban will always deliver that Christmas thrill.

Mariah Carey owns the holiday spirit, given that her ‘All I Want For Christmas is You’ single sells millions of copies every year, while her ‘Merry Christmas’ album from 1994 is still a hit.

From our family to yours, may your day be bright and filled with hope, presents, and loving family.
