The Chainsmokers have had one hell of a 2016 and the Grammys have recently recognized them with their first Grammy nomination. They’re not just up for one award though. This talented duo is up for three awards come February 12! They are up for Best New Artist, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Dance Recording.
These two have been riding high after the release of “Closer” and because of that song we think they have a real shot at winning at least one award. The Best New Artist category is stacked, but might by their best shot at winning. They go up against Kelsea Ballerini, Chance the Rapper, Maren Morris and Anderson .Paak.
For Best Pop Duo/Group Performance they will be facing off against hits from Lukas Graham, Rihanna, Sia and Twenty One Pilots.
Lastly, the nominations for Best Dance Recording include hits from Sofi Tukker, Riton, Flume and Bob Moses.
