The 80s was the birth of the technology we use today, computers, early cell phone and internet, plus the best soul music around. What were the best Soul Albums of the 80s?

“Thriller” by Michael Jackson
“Rapture” from Anita Baker
“Purple Rain” by the late Prince
“Never Too Much” from Luther Vandross
“1999” by Prince
“Bad” from Michael Jackson
“Hotter Than July” by Stevie Wonder
“Whitney Houston” by Whitney Houston
“Stronger than Pride” by Sade
“Control” from Janet Jackson

Observations: As you can easily see, the 80s was dominated by super stars Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross and Prince each died well before their time.
