Is there really a Santa Claus? As kids, especially tech-savvy ones, get older, it becomes harder and harder to keep that holiday ho ho ho spirit alive.  But now, a visit to the app store or a bit of Photoshop creativity can be just the thing to help restore their little one’s belief in the man in the red suit.  Try these and watch that sparkle of belief shine in their eyes….

A Call From Santa!

If your kids are tech-savvy, they’ll love A Call From Santa! As the app says, you can call Santa, get video messages, record a wish list, and hear what Santa is doing. This app also has a Santa Chatbot that chats with you, just like you’re talking with the real Santa. You can also request a call from Santa, and you can let your children record a voice message for Santa. This app is free, though you can pay to unlock more options to better personalize the messages for your child.

Portable North Pole (PNP)

This will bring a smile to any child’s face. Portable North Pole has been around for a very long time, and it’s as magical as it has always been. Input some information about your child and a personalized video from Santa will play. Video messages are free, but for an additional fee parents can buy their child more detailed personalizations, views of Santa’s village and news of whether they are on the naughty or nice list this year.

NORAD Santa Tracker

For more than 60 years, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has been tracking Santa’s whereabouts on Christmas Eve using a myriad of data collection tools, ranging from satellites to jet fighters. Now the website and apps offer a Christmas countdown, games and other activities, in addition to NORAD’s iconic reports on Santa’s travels come December 24.

Catch A Character

Show your kids proof that Santa was in their home with Catch A Character — an app that allows parents to create free photos using images of their own home, along with stock images of Santa Claus. Santa can be shown placing presents beneath the Christmas tree, checking his list, or even looking shocked to be caught on camera. To help parents keep holiday magic going year-round, the app also offers similar photos of the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.

Elf Yourself

This app is just plain fun and hilarious. You replace the Elf faces with the faces of up to five people. Could be friends, family, pets, or five of y-o-u. Once the faces are set, you select a dance theme, and the app creates a comical dance video. Once it’s done, you can share the video on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. You can also purchase additional videos featuring different themes.
