The Americana Honors & Awards Show will be tonight in Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium., and Van Morrison and Graham Nash are scheduled to perform. If being on stage giving to his fans isn’t enough, the foundation will be giving back; Van will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for songwriting, while Graham receives the Spirit of Americana Free Speech in Music Award.
The Lumineers, John Prine, Rodney Crowell, Lori McKenna, and the Drive-by Truckers will also be on hand that night for the festivities. Americana music is described as indigenous sounding music that combines America’s R&B and blues bluegrass, country, roots-and rock to offer the most unique sound around.
