The 69th annual Emmy Awards will be hosted by comedian Stephen Colbert, September 17, on CBS. The nominees were announced a while ago, and rock fans will smile with the news.
Among the various nominees, Ron Howard’s ‘The Beatles: Eight Days a Week — The Touring Years’ was nominated in five categories, including Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special. ‘Eight Days a Week — The Touring Years’ is an inside look at the fab Four’s fabulous journey from 1962 to 1966, with live performances and interviews throughout the documentary. The movie had the full cooperation of the living Beatles, along with Yoko and ex-wives of George Harrison.
