The 6 Fashion-Forward Color Trends of Spring 2022

POPSUGAR reports that when you’re looking to make your color palette sing in Spring 2022, you need look no further than the ones strutting down the runways at the Spring fashion shows. These hues were so prominent on the runways from New York to Paris, it was easy to spot the fashion favorites. Get ready for sleek soft lilac, sunny canary yellow, moody hot pink, salted caramel, electrifying scarlet, and a mystifying sky blue.

Soft Lilac

Canary Yellow

Even when this season’s yellow veers a bit more towards lemon, it still has that wonderfully chalky look to it that makes it feel far more elevated than gold or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, highlighter territory. Spotted at big-time, luxury fashion houses like Alexander McQueen and Chanel, you know it’s bound to find its way onto some of our most prominent wardrobe staples.

Hot Pink

Somewhere between a fuchsia and magenta lies this brilliant shade of pink, which some might refer to as rhodamine red. It’s more purplish than Barbie, but still undeniably fun — and it holds a lot of power. That’s why we’re seeing it on a lot of statement looks like jumpsuits, co-ord sets, and dresses that turn heads both for their design and their color.

Salted Caramel

Meet the 2022 neutral that’s way more upbeat than khaki or classic tan. It’s brighter than classic caramel and looks lovely contrasted by purple or played up by peach. Follow Miuccia Prada’s lead at Miu Miu and wear it layered with multiple shades of brown, or invest in a new tailored suit or work pants in the shade and everyone will know you’re shopping from the latest collections.

Scarlet

In most instances, the tinge of orange in this season’s scarlet makes itself known. It’s by far the boldest color we saw stand out on the runway, and it’ll help you put that pep in your step. Even if you aren’t feeling upbeat, get dressed in this shade of red, and your mood will boost like magic.

Sky Blue

The new blue for 2022 is a little more open to interpretation. Whether for you it leans more cornflower or cyan, there’s one thing undeniable about it: it reminds you of the sky. And we all know the range that encompasses. We love how it looks as a monochrome outfit, so, when in doubt, buy the matching shoes . . . and jacket . . . and bag. You get the picture.

This coming season will introduce our wardrobes to some of the dreamiest, wearable colors yet.  The only hard part is having to wait to try them on.
