Essence Fest has just begun in New Orleans, kicking off last night with beauty, music, food, and plenty of festivities. The festival runs through the weekend at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, starring Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, Snoop Dogg, Miguel, Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Missy Elliott, and Ledisi, Xscape.
The Essence Festival is a marriage of music and empowerment, a networking of stars and community working together to form a single soul experience. One of the highlights is the ‘Path to Power’ experience, held July 6th and 7th at the Ernest M. Morial Convention Center. This is more than a music festival as the day will offer chances to attend seminars and conferences at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, led by Vivica Fox, Lester Holt, Nicole Murphy, Angela Rye, DeRay McKesson and more.
