Cyndi Lauper, War, and Olivia Newton John have all committed to being in the 2016 Hollywood Christmas Parade this year, rolling down Hollywood Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles on November 27th. The parade will be taped on that day, appearing on the CW Network December 16, with an encore performance of the parade scheduled for the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel on December 21st.
Like the TV show ‘The Love Boat,’ the parade gives Hollywood a chance for actors whom we haven’t seen since the 70s and 80s come out of retirement and grab a paycheck. This year, Erik Estrada, Laura McKenzie, Dean Cain and Montel Williams are scheduled to appear during the broadcast. Most people outside of LA don’t know that the parade raises money. This year, proceeds will the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
