The iconic album ‘Pet Sounds’ is 50 years old this past May, considered by many to be the most influential Beach Boys LP. Brian Wilson is thought to be the genius behind the success of the Beach Boys, but how atypical is he? Here’s part two of ‘That Odd Brian Wilson.’

When Brian’s father Murray died of a heart attack, Brian Wilson blew off his dad’s funeral, flying to New York in the hopes of being as far away as possible from his family.

Did you know that Brian Wilson has seven children? They are Carnie and Wendy from his first marriage, Dash, Delanie, Dakota Rose, Daria, and Dylan, from additional relationships.

Brian Wilson is working on upcoming album of George Gershwin songs, his total song writing muse.
