Tess Holiday Opens Up About Her Struggle with Anorexia

Last year, the model Tess Holliday revealed that she was diagnosed with anorexia.

She recently took to Instagram to write about how dealing with body image issues has been especially difficult, lately.

“I’m gonna be honest, I’ve been really struggling with body image in a way I’ve never experienced,” she told her followers beneath family photos taken on a recent vacation. “It’s been almost debilitating because even though y’all see me out having fun, it sometimes takes so much work & energy just to be able to leave the house.”

Holliday explained that despite being “the kind of gal who always wants my photo taken,” she now very rarely finds photos where she can be “kind” to herself.

“I’m working on it,” she reassured. “Soaking up this family time and feeling grateful, even when it’s tough.”
