It should come as no surprise that Taylor Swift wants to give back to the state that held the first tour date of her famous The 1989 Tour. She’s donating $1 million to the state of Louisiana to help with the flooding that is occurring there.
She feels a special connection to the state because of that first tour date, saying that they made her feel at home and were so great to her.
The death toll has reached double digits with damage occurring to over 40,000 homes.
This isn’t the first time Taylor has donated to a great cause, as she’s donated money to the Red Cross in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and to a young fan in the past.
