Taylor Swift Avoids Jury Duty

There are two words that when put together everyone hates and wants to avoid. Those two words are “jury duty” and if you’re lucky you never have to hear them told to you in your lifetime. One huge artist couldn’t avoid those two words and did her civic duty by showing up for court the other day. Luckily for her though, she was dismissed due to possible bias on the case.

Taylor Swift missed the MTV VMAs in part because of jury duty she had to attend, but it doesn’t look like she’s needed anymore. Because of her past experience being groped by a DJ, she says she would have bias towards any case involving sexual assault. That’s just what the case she was on potential jury duty was for, so she was excused.

Taylor avoided jury, so good for her, but also good on her for doing her civic duty by attending court for it.
