On Saturday night, March 30th, Tame Impala graced the stage of SNL, and dropped off their first batch of new material in four years.

The Aussie psych-rockers euphorically played their music, blanketed in kaleidoscopic lighting, while they performed their two new songs, Patience and Borderline.

This performance is the band’s first new batch of music since their 2015 album, Currents.  “Patience” serves as the first official page in the band’s next chapter, which they dropped the week before they hit the SNL stage.

Their song “Borderline” strikes a dramatic, introspective chord. While “Patience” is bright with sunny notes that’ll surely light up their headlining set at Coachella and a number of other festival gigs this season.
