Talking Brian McKnight

Like a visit from an old college chum, it’s great to see and hear Brian McKnight back on the charts with a wonderful song called “Everything.” Here are a few fun facts about Brian you may not have known, especially if you’re under the age of 40.

Brian began his musical journey in the early 90s with songs like “The Way Love Goes” and “Never Felt This Way Before.”

Mr. ‘nomination’ (we say that with love and respect) McKnight has been nominated for 19 Grammys, having not yet won! Only Snoop Dog has more nominations without a win.

Brian grew up in sunny Buffalo, NY and was a rising star in the church choir, the inspiration for his career.

Finally, Brian is the father of five children, hosted his own radio show in syndication for a few years, and has mastered seven instruments, including the tuba.
