Michael McDonald is a star all by himself, but found a way to add his vocals to the songs of Patti Labelle, Steely Dan, Toto, Chicago, Christopher Cross, Stephen Bishop, Bonnie Raitt, Carly Simon and Kenny Loggins.

Cher has one of the most unique singing voices in all of music, and early in her career she found work as a background singer for the early recordings of The Ronettes, the Crystals, the Righteous Brothers and Phil Spector.

Glenn Frey sang on the early Bob Seger songs, Whitney Houston added vocals to Chaka Kahn and Luther Vandross, and David Crosby helped with most of the early Jackson Brown singles in the late 60s and early 70s.
