The Police was an interesting 80s band that didn’t really sound like their contemporary counterparts; where they punk or rock? Was this a pop or jazz band? Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland didn’t care as long as radio played their hits, and fans showed up for their live shows.

Year, later we would realize that Sting was the real talent behind the band. He’s enjoyed a highly successful solo career, hitting the charts with songs like “Fields of Gold,” Driven to Tears,” and “Fortress Around Your Heart.”

Included in the many musical honors, Sting has also been celebrated as a Kennedy Center Honoree for his work outside of music. He’s also appeared numerous times on ‘SNL’ and in film. Although the current tour will be expanded, here are the confirmed concert dates and locations for the upcoming ‘Sting 57th & 9th Tour.’

8/30 – Saratoga Springs, NY
9/1 – Bethel, NY
9/2 – Boston, MA
9/3 – Atlantic City, NJ
