Everyone loves Star Wars don’t they? Well, recently two pieces of memorabilia were sold that really shows how much people love the movies.

Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber in The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: A New Hope was sold to Ripley’s for just under $500,000! Officially the number it sold for was $450,000. There are rumors that it’ll be on display at one of Ripley’s Believe It or Not locations, but nothing has been confirmed.

The other Star Wars piece of memorabilia that was sold recently was the R2-D2 unit from the trilogy. This thing sold for almost $3 million at auction! Can you imagine spending that kind of dough on something from a movie?!

We told you people love Star Wars didn’t we?
