Movies and music often times go hand in hand in telling a story on the silver screen, and we’ve decided to share the best songs from the moves that we love. Here’s the ‘Great Classic Rock Songs on the Silver Screen.’

Bob Seger’s “Shakedown” appeared in the Eddie Murphy movie “Beverly Hills Cop II” and was the perfect song for the perfect comedy-crime movie.

Forrest Gump put the bright spotlight on “Against the Wind” by Bob Seger, “Hanky Pinky” by Tommy James and the Shondells, “Hello I Love You” by the Doors, and “All Along the Watchtower” from Jimi.

“Vision Quest” is the perfect 80s movie that brought the talent of Madonna (Crazy For You) “Only the Young” from Journey, “Time for Me to Fly” by REO Speedwagon, and “Harden My Heart” from Quarterflash.
