The 2018 Olympics are underway and one thing we have immediately noticed is the difference in ice skating. The events are the same as always but at this year’s event, the music is much better! New rules have allowed for popular music to be played during the routines.
Some of the songs we have heard are from the good ‘ol days with hits from the Rolling Stones, Eagles, and Santana as well as one Italian ice skater skating to multiple Beatles hits! Also being played are hits from today’s day and age. We heard “Despacito” and “My All,” the Mariah Carey hit, as well as hits from Marc Anthony, Ed Sheeran, and Christina Perri.
The ice skating has been great this Olympics but we can’t help but love the music that has been a part of their routines.
