Snoop Dogg’s 19th studio album, The Algorithm, is on the horizon. It features a list of guest spots and collaborations with many names that will be standing alongside Snoop’s for the first time and will be the legendary rapper’s first release with Def Jam Recordings.

Over the summer, Def Jam appointed Snoop as their new Executive Creative and Strategic Consultant, and this new album will be his inaugural creation with the label.

More of a compilation than a solo record, Snoop elaborated how The Algorithm came to be at a listening event he hosted in New York City earlier this week.

“This project right here, The Algorithm, it started in this building right here, this is where it was created right here,” Snoop said to a room full of exclusive guests. “Charmaine got me some studio time when I came to New York, she called a couple of players that I really wanted to work with: Fab[olous], Dave East, Benny The Butcher was called up here by DJ Whoo Kid and we started making magic, we started doing what we do to create The Algorithm.”

The album is set to release next month, on November 12th.
