Slipknot has been around for quite some time, forming in 1995 in Des Moines, Iowa. Paul Gray, one of the two founding members, died in 2010, but the band kept on going in memory of their fallen band member. Shawn Crahan, the other founding member, is the only original member left since those early years, but the band has always found a way to kept going.
There are nine members of this outrageously rocking band with members specializing in guitar, vocals, turntables, percussion, drums, programming, and other specialty sounds. These other eight members are Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Jay Weinberg, and Alessandro Venturella.
The band is known for their somewhat scary outfits and masks they where. They embrace their outfits just like KISS did back in the day even though they’re a little different in sound and looks.
Slipknot continues to make music and even headlined the Download Festival in 2015.
