Serena Williams Leads the List of Highest Paid Female Athletes

Forbes put out their list of highest paid female athletes and there’s one at the top that we know very well. It’s Serena Williams of course. The superstar tennis player who just recently got engaged and announced that she was pregnant in 2017 was the highest earner from June of 2016 to June of 2017. She’s not the only tennis player on the list though. Of the top 10 athletes on the list, eight of them play tennis.

Serena made a whopping $27 million during that June to June stretch, while Angelique Kerber sits at number two with just under $13 million in earnings. Danica Patrick may be the second biggest female athlete on this list, as she has been a NASCAR phenom, breaking the mold being a female racecar driver. She has earned just over $12 million during that stretch of time. Let’s take a look at the entire top 10 list…
