This past weekend the BET Hip-Hop Awards went down in Atlanta, Georgia. It was quite the event with many of the biggest names in rap and hip-hop in the house. The event took place at the Cobb Energy Performing Centre.
Two of the biggest names celebrated at this event were Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar. The two were intertwined throughout the night’s festivities, making it a great night for fans of both of them. Snoop Dogg was given the “I Am Hip Hop” award, which should come as no surprise. He’s made an impact in the rap game for too many years to count.
Kendrick Lamar was the one that introduced Snoop when he was given the award and would also make more generous comments about him when won his own award, Lyricist of the Year.
Other winners at this event included Hustler of the Year (DJ Khaled), Best New Hip-Hop Artist (Chance the Rapper) and Track of the Year (Fat Joe and Remy Ma).
