While listening to the radio we’re sure you’ve heard a familiar song that was originally done by Don Henley and Patty Smyth. The song has been given a new lease on life with a new artist, Russell Watson. Of course, we’re talking about “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough.”

Russell is an English tenor, not your typical cup of tea. Russell was born in the UK in 1966 with career aspirations of doing anything other than becoming a professional singer. After graduation from high school in the UK, Russell married his high school sweetheart and took a job as a bold cutter in a factory.

He took on a part time job as a bar singer to make extra money, and was impressive; so much so he began to sing opera in small theaters. Growing popularity and success in opera (known as the UK’s Top Tenor) opened the door for other genres, and his latest song is from a more pop oriented album. Russell has successful defeated pituitary cancer twice, is the father of two nearly grown daughters and is currently divorced but also engaged to a woman half his age.
