On Friday, December 6th, Jason Aldean returned to Las Vegas for the first of three headlining residency shows at the Park MGM. The country singer addressed the audience with a message that referenced 2017’s tragic shooting at the city’s Route 91 Harvest Festival, where Aldean was on stage at the time of the tragedy.

“We got a lot of people in the crowd tonight who are family to us, so welcome out everybody from Route 91.. It’s good to be back here in Las Vegas. This is our first show back, and make no mistake about it tonight: we came back to blow it out for you guys tonight, all right?” he announced.

“Let’s finish what we started, what y’all think?” he added before moving on through his set.

Aldean’s three-night residency at the venue continues Dec. 7-8.

Later in the show, Aldean addressed a fan in a wheelchair wearing a Route 91 shirt and holding an American flag who was lifted by others in the audience. “My man,” the singer reportedly said according to Rolling Stone.
