Next week Mark Wahlberg and Ronda Rousey star in a thriller called ‘Mile 22’ a spy film that will have you at the end of your seat. We know that Mark is a bankable star, fetching millions for his roles in films, but did you know that Ronda Rousey is making a concerted effort to branch out into acting?
Ronda is easily the most identifiable star of women’s MMA, but let’s remind you of her work outside the ring in Hollywood. She began in a film called ‘American Judoka’ in 2009, then hit the big time with terrific roles in ‘Furious 7’ and ‘Entourage’ (as herself).
A few of her business accomplishments are pretty impressive, becoming the first female fighter to sign a contract with the UFC a few years ago, being inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2018, and becoming the 1st woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. She’s also the proud owner of a New York Times best-seller, ‘My Fight/Your Fight’ published in 2015. Be sure to check out ‘Mile 22’ as it hits theaters near you.
