Rock and roll is a funny animal and business. We love to hear our favorite bands on the radio or from a jukebox. Often times, there’s a really interesting story behind the band. Here are a few our favorite stories…

The Eagles started out as the back-up group for Linda Ronstadt, Phil Collins as the drummer for Genesis, Glenn Frey on the early Bob Seger singles, Sheryl Crow as background singer for Michael Jackson, and Cher as a background singer for the Ronettes. Who would have ever guessed?!

The king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley, recorded more than 650 songs in his musical career, and wrote none of them. Not one. Nada!

“Highway 61 Revisited” from the legend Bob Dylan comes from Route 61, the highway that goes through Minnesota and continues to the Mississippi Delta.
