The 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards are about a month away and just last week we saw the nominations for this one released. What we saw were a lot of nominations for Taylor Swift and Shawn Mendes, but definitely some representation by rockers as well. There are two rock categories but even then the Foo Fighters and Coldplay have other nominations to go along with it.
Those two rock bands are up for Best Video (Foo Fighters) and Best Live (Coldplay) and have a great chance at taking those respective awards home. As for the rock specific categories? Well, Imagine Dragons, Lana Del Ray, The xx, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Lorde are all up for Best Alternative while Coldplay, Foo Fighters, The Killers, U2 and Royal Blood are all up for Best Rock.
Who do you think has the biggest night come November 12? We will have to wait to find out!
