The nominations for the American Music Awards were announced earlier this week and it went along as much as you would expect. Joe Jonas and Rachel Platten helped with the announcing of the nominations on “Good Morning America,” making it an event in itself. Both Jonas and Platten saw themselves receive nominations while reading it out loud, which was cool in itself.
There are plenty of rockers that will be in attendance on November 20 with Twenty One Pilots having the best shot at winning an award. They are up for three awards including Favorite Artist – Alternative Rock, Artist of the Year and Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock.
Competing against Twenty One Pilots for Favorite Artist – Alternative Rock is Coldplay and the X Ambassadors. These two have a good shot at upstaging them, but nothing is ever easy!
