Here are your Monday morning music headlines to kick of your week…

The 2016 class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was inducted last Friday. Chicago, Steve Miller, N.W.A., Cheap Trick, and Deep Purple were honored and brought to the hall forever. Cheap Trick’s Bun E. Carlos did make the ceremony, while Peter Cetera of Chicago did not.

One of the more touching moments of the 31st Class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was the tribute to the late Glenn Frey, performed by Sheryl Crow and Grace Potter.

Paul Simon is still kicking out the jams as he’s just released the first single ‘Wristband” from his latest studio effort ‘Stranger to Stranger.’

Birthdays this week include Mark Volman (you know him as the portly singer from the Turtles), Peter Frampton, Alan Price and John Weidner of the Animals, Mel Carter, Barbra Streisand, and Robert Knight.
