Rock Nominations at the MTV Music Video Awards

The MTV Music Video Awards are taking place August 27 from Inglewood, California and just the other day we were blessed with the nominations for this year’s show. It includes many awards likely to be given to hip-hop and pop artists, but there are a few rockers that have a chance at taking home some hardware.

There is a rock specific award at this one titled “Best Rock” and those up for this one are the following:

Coldplay – A Head Full of Dreams
Green Day – Bang Bang
Foo Fighters – Run
Twenty One Pilots – Heavydirtysoul
Fall Out Boy – Young and Menace

Lorde is up for two nominations at this one, Best Editing and Artist of the Year, two huge awards at this one while Imagine Dragons is also up for the Best Cinematography for their song, “Thunder.”
