Rihanna’s Good Girl Gone Bad Celebrating 9 Years

It was nine years ago this week that Rihanna one of her greatest albums ever. He third album release was “Good Girl Gone Bad” and it was a big time Grammy nominee. It received seven nominations, but would only win one, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her hit, “Umbrella.”

Other big singles off of the album included “Don’t Stop the Music,” “Disturbia,” and “Hate That I Love You.” With hits like those, the album would debut at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart.

Worldwide, the album has sold over seven million records with just under three million of those albums being sold in the United States.

Nine years ago this week we saw one of Rihanna’s greatest albums be released and we’re still reaping the benefits of its great sound.
