Rihanna to Receive Harvard Humanitarian of the Year Award

Rihanna just recently celebrated a birthday and now she has another reason to celebrate. She will be receiving the Harvard Humanitarian of the Year award later this year! She was just recently named the winner of this year’s award and will be on campus soon to accept he award formally.

The reasons why she should win this award are a plenty, but some of them we find the most compelling is the Clara and Lionel Foundation Scholarship Program, which created and her work with breast cancer awareness in Barbados. Rihanna is truly deserving of this award.

The official name of this award is the Peter J. Gomes Humanitarian Award and has been won in the past by the likes of Arthur Ashe and James Early Jones among many others.
