The 2017 Grammys are in the books, but before we move on to this year’s great music and who could dominate at the 2018 Grammys like Adele did we wanted to talk about two snubs. Rihanna and Kanye West went into this year’s award show with 13 total nominations and somehow walked away with zero awards!
While there is no shame in going home empty handed at an award show like this one, it seems odd that neither would win some hardware. Kanye wasn’t in attendance, as we already knew, but Rihanna was there and seemed to be having a good time for the most part. She was up for eight awards including Best Urban Contemporary Album, the award Beyonce would take home.
The funniest moment of the night might have come from that award as she was seen putting lip gloss on when Beyonce was announced the winner. It blew up social media and was all people were talking about when her named was brought up.
Rihanna has had an amazing year and while she didn’t win any awards at this year’s show she’s a huge winner in our books.
