There can be no greater honor than to be inducted into a Hall of Fame, be it the Rock and Roll Hall, the Songwriters Hall, or in this case the Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame. There are 18 nominees waiting to get the call; 10 will be inducted from this list…

George Clinton, The Dells and The Drifters. Janet Jackson, Nat King Cole, Patti LaBelle, Peabo Bryson, Jerry Lee Lewis, New Editions, Berry Gordy, independently Motown Records, Billy Paul, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Gamble & Huff, Keith Sweat, Mary J. Blige, Nat King Cole, Patti LaBelle, and Stephanie Mills.

The 10 artists who get the call from the Hall will be announced in early 2018 during ‘Black History Month’ with the induction ceremony held in June.
