The big winner of the BBC Music Awards earlier this week was not even there, but that didn’t damper the mood. The award show was still great and will be one we remember for quite some time.

This big winner was Adele of course. Her “25” album took home Album of the Year, while the big hit off of that album, “Hello,” won the Song of the Year. Others up for the Album of the Year included the most recent albums from Coldplay, Rick Astley, Michael Kiwanuka and Jeff Lynne’s ELO. For Song of the Year, we saw hits from Alessia Cara, Drake, Rihanna, Naughty Boy (featuring Beyonce) and Justin Bieber unfortunately all fall short.

The BBC Music Introducing Artist of the Year award went to Izzy Bizu.
