The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been around since the early 80s, and in 2016 will jump right back into the studio and begin touring with a heavy schedule. You know that the band hasn’t released an album since 2011, but they’ve agreed to a headline Holland’s Pinkpop Festival with Rammstein, and have set a full schedule of touring in the coming year.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are an interesting band having broken into the music scene in the early 80s from Los Angeles, California. They’re kind of a funk rock rap group that has stood behind its lead singer Anthony Kiedis, along with Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer.

Like most rock and roll bands, the kids met in Los Angeles at their high school, Fairfax High, and the early band name was Tony Flow and the Majestic Masters of Mayhem. The band’s lowest moment came with the death of original guitarist and founding member Hillel Slovak who died of a heroin overdose in 1988.

It’s likely that the band will begin their 2016 tour in Europe and Russia. One time producer and confidant producer Rick Rubin will be on board to help guide the musical direction of this incredible sustaining band.
