Red Hot Chili Peppers Tease New Music in Clip Shared to Social Media

Over the weekend, the Red Hot Chili Peppers teased some new music in a social media post.

The shared clip, which contains a neon red visual along with the beginning of what seems to be a new song, is about 18 seconds in length. Many fans are speculating that returning guitarist John Frusciante is playing the guitar rift featured in the tease.

Last October, the band’s drummer Chad Smith said that they were “almost done” recording their next album. Though he didn’t reveal a release date, Smith said that the upcoming album would drop before the Peppers embark on their massive global stadium tour in mid-2022.
