Rebel Wilson gets Candid amidst Fertility Issues

On Sunday night, May 2nd, actress Rebel Wilson took to Instagram to get candid about her personal struggle with fertility.

“I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with… but I guess I gotta tell someone,” she said in the caption, paired with a somber photo of herself. In December 2020, Wilson, 41, had opened up during an Instagram Live session about her decision to freeze her eggs.

According to The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, up to 80 percent of women with PCOS are obese, and the condition is one of the most common causes of female infertility.

“To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense… but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds.”
