Rare Elvis Presley Concert Poster Auctioned Off

Over the years we’ve seen snippets of the Beatles hair, guitars, and other personal belongings of rock and roll stars auctioned off, and now you can include Elvis as a recent example of someone making money from a deceased artist. A rare Elvis Presley concert poster from a 1955 concert in North Carolina just went for nearly $43,000 in an auction, managed by the auction house of Heritage Auctions. The concert referred to in the auction was an early Raleigh, NC event.

The Elvis estate periodically holds auctions to raise money. Earlier this year, a diamond and platinum ring given to Linda Thompson during their relationship fetched nearly $28,000, and a 1922 Colt .32 Caliber Revolver was auctioned off for nearly $21,000.
