On Friday, January 18th, Ariana Grande released another viral single, but some people aren’t exactly loving the new song, “7 Rings.” Princess Nokia took to Twitter to accuse Grande of copying and appropriating her song “Mine.”

The 26-year-old rapper posted a video of herself listening to “7 Rings” and making confused facial expressions before switching to “Mine” and saying to the camera, “Hmm, do that sound familiar to you? Because that sounds really familiar to me. Oh my God. Ain’t that the little song I made about brown women and their hair? Sounds about white.” Nokia even tagged Grande in her tweet.

“Mine” was released in 2017 as part of her debut studio album 1992 Deluxe, while “7 Rings” is the second single to be released from Grande’s upcoming fifth studio album, Thank U, Next. In addition, ABC Dallas anchor Demetria Obilor mentioned that “7 Rings” sounds like Soulja Boy’s 2010 hit “Pretty Boy Swag” during her segment.
