It wasn’t long ago that Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” became a huge hit and was used plenty in support of Hillary Clinton’s campaign to become the next President of the United States. As we all know, our President is now Donald Trump and at his Inauguration Ball on January 20 we heard “Fight Song” be performed by The Piano Guys. Platten was not thrilled about this one bit.
She took to Twitter to voice her opinion on the matter, saying “While I respect the office of the President and the peaceful transfer of power, I want to make clear that at no point did the Piano Guys… ask for permission, nor did I or anyone on my team know of, approve or endorse their decision to play Fight Song tonight.” It took two tweets for that to be said and The Piano Guys would go on to say that their performance of this song “had nothing to do with Hillary Clinton or politics” via Twitter as well.
