Experts everywhere are calling this weekend’s college football the greatest weekend the sport has ever had. After talking about the schedule all week long, we totally agree with them! Let’s get right to the predictions from the major games being played Saturday.

Oklahoma and Houston kick it off for us and that’s an upset we really like. Houston is a decently sized underdog and we think the Cougars pull off a 31-24 win in Houston.

LSU heads up to Lambeau Field for their opener and should take care of business against Wisconsin. They’ll win this one, but it’ll be a tighter game than people think. The Tigers win 27-23.

UCLA and Texas A&M face off at College Station to open up the year and star sophomore quarterback Josh Rosen is just the kind of guy to win a big game on the road. He’ll lead the Bruins to a 34-24 win.

Georgia and North Carolina face off at the Georgia Dome to start their seasons. It sounds like Greyson Lambert, the veteran Bulldogs quarterback, will be leading the charge, which is a huge wild card for them. How he plays will determine this one. Bulldogs win this one ugly, 26-17.

Alabama and USC also play a neutral site game, this one in Dallas, Texas. Alabama has quarterback questions to start the year (like always), but when it does it seem to matter? The defense and running game leads the Crimson Tide to a 28-17 victory.

Clemson and Auburn face off in a fun ACC/SEC battle, but the game won’t be fun. With Sean White starting at quarterback for the Auburn Tigers, the upside for that offense is limited. Clemson should start the season off with a huge win, taking down the SEC’s Tigers 45-17.

Much like the Clemson game, the Notre Dame/Texas game should get ugly. The Fighting Irish roll with both quarterbacks under center, 35-14.
