Phoenix Release ‘Identical’ From Sofia Coppola’s New Film ‘On the Rocks’

On Wednesday, August 19th, Phoenix dropped their new track and visual titled “Identical.” The track can be heard in the new trailer for the Sofia Coppola film On the Rocks, starring Bill Murray, Rashida Jones and Marlon Wayans. The song will be featured in the film when it premieres in October in theaters and on Apple TV Plus.

“Identical” makes the band’s first new music since their 2017 album Ti Amo. Directed by Roman Coppola, the visual for the track depicts a Phoenix sweatshirt going up in flames.
